Patek Philippe Ellipse bracelet watch ref. 3848G
The ref. 3848 Ellipse was launched in 1977 and stayed in production until 1998. It replaced the earlier Ellipse ref. 3648. The cases were made by Favres Perret and it utilized a caliber 215 (unlike the ref. 3648 that had cases made by Baumgartner and a caliber 23-300).
This example of a ref. 3848 was sold in 1991 by Gübelin and features an elegant, removable 18k white gold bracelet made by the brilliant and whimsical jewelers Reto Keppler & Hans Kern in Zurich. This watch is also accompanied by its original strap and an 18k Ellipse buckle.
