Patek Philippe retailer display
I have seen some rather incredible Patek Philippe vintage dealer/salesman display material over the years but, in my opinion, this one wins! Made with incredible attention to detail, the four movements are presented as modern art in the acrylic to show the manufacture’s breadth of production and know-how. Each component of the watch is disassembled to show the masterful degree of hand finishing that goes into each individual part. Four movements are used:
- 9-90 (produced 1934–1967)
- 12-120 (produced 1935–1952)
- 7-70 (produced 1941–1969)
- 17 ligne pocket watch caliber
The most incredible part of this display is that each caliber has no movement number – something that has never been seen before. The plates are engraved and finished as expected, but the section after ‘No.’ (number) is intentionally left blank. As a consequence, it is undeniable that this display was made by Patek Philippe for use at a boutique or for a salesperson.
