This 1940s reference is rather obscure, so obscure that it is not even listed in auction house databases or even the monumental tome ‘Patek Philippe Steel Watches’ by John Goldberger. The ref. 1473A features a stainless steel case with tear-drop form lugs. Within the two piece ‘Acier Inox‘ case we find the celebrated caliber 10-200 with a precision regulator. The beautifully aged, unrestored dial reveals its raised, hard enamel signature as well as a raised, enamel railroad track outlining the raised Arabic and dot markers. Less than three examples are known.
