PATEK PHILIPPE ‘RICOCHET’ POCKET WATCH
The reference 789-1J was part of the Ricochet collection, the personal project of the famous jewelry and watch designer Gilbert Albert. In 1955, Mr. Albert was hired as the workshop director of Patek Philippe when he was 25 years old. During his eight years at Patek Philippe he pushed the envelope of Patek Philippe’s mid-century design with his nature-inspired creations as seen with the Ricochet collection and the futuristic designs of his asymmetrical wristwatches. Sadly, Gilbert Albert passed away October 1, 2019.
This Ref. 789-1J is spectacularly preserved in original condition. A light patina is developing throughout the case giving a warm look to this classic reference.
