The ref. 652 was a staple model in Patek Philippe’s 20th century offering from its introduction in 1937 until it was discontinued in 1994. This example with Breguet numbers was made in 1955 and originally sold by Tiffany & Co. The caseback has a mysterious engraving — the pattern reveals the numbers 26, 36, 46, 56 and a ‘S’ with entwined infiniti design. Possibly to celebrate an anniversary, one thing is for sure is that 1926 – 1956 were very important to the original owner.
