PATEK PHILIPPE AQUANAUT REF. 5065A
When the Aquanaut was launched in 1997, the world was shocked to see Patek Philippe’s bold leap into the future at the cusp of the 21st century. Based on the Nautilus design, the Aquanaut was designed to attract a new, younger clientele for Patek Philippe. The experiment ‘failed’ in that established, older Patek Philippe clients purchased all the limited run, leaving most of the new collectors without a chance to enjoy this entry level watch. The rest is history and to this day the Aquanaut models are some of the most sought-after watches in the world. The 5065A was offered from 1997 and stayed in production until 2006. As the original ‘jumbo’ large size Aquanaut, these remain coveted pieces for both the collector and casual wearer. This fine example is fresh from Patek Philippe service and is accompanied by its Extract from the Archives (issued October 11, 2024)
