EARLY PATEK PHILIPPE PLATINUM LADIES BRACELET WATCH
Dear Virginie, here is your watch, 106 years after you received it as a present. Your story is lost but your legacy lives on through your exceptional watch. Hopefully, with more research, we will learn who Virginie was and the original generous gift giver ‘Luben Sels’. Her lover, husband, friend? Perhaps we will never know. But what we do know is that we have a rarity here at Collectability. This is one of the earliest known Patek Philippe wristwatches from the first generation of the brand’s exploration into how a watch should look on the wrist. The unusual shape perfectly fits on a ladies wrist. Its dial is hand engraved with black enamel on a silvered base with decorative Art Deco patterns above 12 and below 6. The curved platinum case is fitted with a later bracelet and can easily be fitted with a black silk strap if the new owner prefers a different look. For the woman who loves history, design, and classic elegance, this is your watch. Virginie would be quite happy to know her memory is very much alive!
