5212A – dial material?

The dial of my watch is officially described by Patek as silver opaline, I believe. In strong light it is basically a silver, but in darker light it takes on a very noticeable yellow-ish hue (which I personally find super attractive.) I wonder what material is used for the dial? Is it an alloy which contains a little yellow metal? Or is there some kind of varnish? Is this something which could darken over time or develop a stronger yellow/gold patina? If so, it will just get better and better like fine wine!
