PATEK PHILIPPE WHITE GOLD ELLIPSE POCKET WATCH, REF. 874G
This exquisite white gold Ellipse pocket watch was made circa 1976 and is the ultimate expression of Ellipse mania from yesteryear. Featuring a classic silvered Roman numeral dial, this timepiece is literally a work of art and masterpiece of 1970s Patek Philippe craftsmanship. The ref. 874 was launched in 1976 and stayed in production through the early 1990s and made in extremely limited numbers most commonly for exhibitions. Only 16 examples of the Ref. 874 are known to exist — and only six of these are known to be in white gold such as the presently offered example.
