PATEK PHILIPPE ROSE GOLD REF. 1589R
The ref. 1589 was produced between 1944 and 1952 and is one of the largest vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava watches ever made. Its 36mm case, crafted by Antoine Gerlach for Patek Philippe (Master Key Mark 4), features a two-piece construction with a snap-back. One of the standout features of this oversized 36 mm case are the distinctively welded lugs, showcasing the exceptional design and craftsmanship of mid-century case making. This particular example belongs to the second series of the reference, which features the caliber 12-400, whereas the first series used the caliber 12-120. It’s believed that less than 10 examples of the rose gold version of the ref. 1589 exist today. For collectors seeking a rare, larger, and wearable vintage timepiece, this is an ideal choice.
