The ref. 1516 was produced from 1941 until circa 1952, and only a few hundred were made. At 32 mm, it closely resembles the ref. 96, but differs in the way the lugs are attached to the case. With the distinctive lug ridges on the sides of the case, the ref. 1516 is easily differentiated from its more common cousin. The dials, made by Stern Frères, typically feature applied Roman and baton markers. To date, only 15 examples have been rediscovered in rose gold.
