PATEK PHILIPPE PLATINUM WORLD TIME CHRONOGRAPH REF. 5930P
When launched in 2016, the ref. 5930 shocked some Patek Philippe aficionados as it was the first modern Patek Philippe World Time to be paired with a chronograph. It is an unlikely combination but it somehow works with this beautiful reference, especially with the attractive guilloché dial that pulls it all together. From a historical perspective, it is interesting to note that this is not the first time a chronograph and a World Time have been brought together. Back in the 1940s, a one-off piece was made by special order for a doctor that dearly wanted this combination. This watch can be seen today at the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva.
Today, we have on offer a ref. 5930P with a green guilloché dial, a self-winding World Time combined with a flyback chronograph and a 30 minute counter. (The white gold version featured a blue guilloché dial). The platinum version remains in the current line and no surprise it is close to impossible to find at your local retailer. If you want one now, mint and full set, we are pleased to offer this example for your collection.
