PATEK PHILIPPE PERPETUAL CALENDAR REF. 3945/1J
As one of Patek Philippe’s rarest perpetual calendars, the ref. 3945/1J first captures your attention with its distinctive integrated bracelet. Uncut, this near new-old-stock example has a bracelet that measures over 7 3/4″. The second thing that you may notice with this specimen example is the Tiffany & Co. signature within the date register below the moon phase. The dial itself is a work of art with its ‘dishpan’ registers at 3 and 9 with a slightly darker color on the inner registers. It’s a dial preserved in perfect condition and literally aged to perfection as the original varnish has only slightly darkened over time. The Certificate of Origin confirms the original production of this ref. 3945/1J in 1988 (date code PRNN) and the original date of sale as January 19, 1989 at Tiffany & Co., New York. It was not until 1990 that the second, sapphire back was added to this reference, so this beautifully preserved example with crisp hallmarks is a fully complete example. For the connoisseur demanding the best of the best, look no further than this Tiffany & Co. ref. 3945/1J.
