The ref. 798J is believed to have been designed by the brilliant Gilbert Albert. Inspired by nature, fueled by a futuristic vision of the evolving role of the pocket watch in the pre-quartz era, the ref. 798J is a relatively unknown mid-century masterpiece. Less than one hundred examples are thought to have been made and only eight are known to exist today. The gold dials for these works of art were made by Stern Frères, the cases by Wenger (Keymark 1) and the movement used was the elegant caliber 23-300.
