During the late 19th and early 20th century, Chronometro Gondolo and Labouriau was Patek Philippe’s number one global client. Tiffany & Co was a humble number two in comparison. This Chronometro Gondolo was the watch that built the empire for this prominent Brazilian retailer. From 1872 until 1927, Patek Philippe’s partnership with Chronometro Gondolo created some of the most beautiful pocket and wristwatches at the dawn of the modern era. This well preserved massive 56 mm Chronometro Gondolo is a specimen example from the era.
