PATEK PHILIPPE ANNUAL CALENDAR REF. 5035J WITH SILVER OPALINE DIAL
The Patek Philippe ref. 5035 was the world’s first Annual Calendar wristwatch, introduced in 1996 and awarded Watch of the Year by Montres Passion for its groundbreaking complication. With a 37 mm yellow gold case and elegant silver opaline dial, the ref. 5035J blends classic aesthetics with innovative horology, automatically adjusting for months with 30 and 31 days while requiring only one manual correction per year.
Produced in yellow, white, rose gold, and platinum, the ref. 5035 can be divided into two main series. The first series began at launch and continued until around 2000, when the second series was introduced and remained in production until the reference was discontinued in 2005. The first series is easily distinguished by its seconds hand with a flat end, in contrast to the pointed tip found on second-series examples such as we have on offer here.
Collectability Says:
“The ref. 5035J is a milestone in Patek Philippe history, pairing timeless yellow gold elegance with the brand’s pioneering Annual Calendar complication — a true modern classic with enduring collector appeal. Not to mention a relative bargain for a complicated Patek Philippe!”
