The ref. 2554 was first launched in 1950 and has had at least ten variations made within its 17-year production run. Nick-named either the ‘Manta Ray’ or the ‘Pagoda’ it was the inspiration for a limited edition series made in 1997 to commemorate the opening of the Patek Philippe workshops in Geneva (the refs 5500 and 4900).
