PATEK PHILIPPE GOLD AND BLUE ENAMEL DIAL WRISTWATCH
This exceptional and rare time only watch features a purplish blue enamel dial that is confirmed in detail on the Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives. The Archive further states the ‘case and dial were provided by the customer’, in this case Guillermin, Patek Philippe’s Paris distributor and retailer. Most likely a special order for an important client, this timepiece was made in close partnership between Patek Philippe Geneva and Paris as was common in the post-war era. The inside of the case features a Guilermin stamp, French Eagle head mark, and 750 gold mark stamped in the style of a hammer as seen with Antoine Gerlach, the prolific mid-century case maker for Patek Philippe. Furthermore the dial is elegantly signed Patek Philippe Fab. Suisse under 6 clock and the reverse of the dial is stamped 93 (Patek Philippe’s mark from Stern Frères). The beauty of the 18K rose gold case framing a deep blue, almost purple enamel, offers the wearer a bold aesthetic from 1953, powered by the elegant caliber 10-200, one of the finest thin movements of the era.
