PATEK PHILIPPE MINUTE REPEATING POCKET WATCH, RETAILED BY SPAULDING & Co., CHICAGO
Queen Victoria was reigning over Great Britain, Benjamin Harrison was President of the United States, and the Eiffel Tower was less than a year old when this watch was made in 1890. A year later, it was delivered to Spaulding & Co., the important Chicago retailer. This minute repeater was the finest quality made by Patek Philippe at the time and its ultra-thin 17 ligne movement did not disappoint in any way. The clarity of the sound, the finish of the movement, and the elegant enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals make this watch a symphony of watchmaking for this era and beyond.
