PATEK PHILIPPE ‘RICOCHET’ POCKET WATCH REF. 789G
The reference 789 was part of the Ricochet collection, the personal project of the famous jewelry and watch designer Gilbert Albert. In 1955, Mr. Albert was hired as the workshop director of Patek Philippe when he was only 25 years old. During his eight years at Patek Philippe he pushed the envelope of Patek Philippe’s mid-century design with his nature-inspired creations as seen with the Ricochet collection and the futuristic designs of his asymmetrical wristwatches. The ref. 789 was produced from 1962 until around 1968.
Most commonly seen in yellow gold, this ref. 789G is one of only two known pieces in white gold. The only other known example of a ref. 789G is on display in the Patek Philippe Museum.
