PATEK PHILIPPE ‘RICOCHET’ POCKET WATCH REF. 788/2J
The reference 788/2J was part of the Ricochet collection, the personal project of the famous jewelry and watch designer Gilbert Albert. In 1955, Mr. Albert was hired as the workshop director of Patek Philippe when he was 25 years old. During his eight years at Patek Philippe he pushed the envelope of Patek Philippe’s mid-century design with his nature-inspired creations as seen with the Ricochet collection and the futuristic designs of his asymmetrical wristwatches.
This Ref. 788/2J is one of the rarest examples with a ‘brain coral’ engraving. It is a 20th century work of art of the highest standard, and most unusual form.
