PATEK PHILIPPE YELLOW GOLD ‘EIFFEL TOWER, REF. 2441J
Every vintage Patek Philippe watch collection needs to have an Eiffel Tower ref. 2441 or an Hour Glass ref. 1593. These signature references brilliantly represent the opulence of the post-war period and the bold mid-century design that has inspired generations of watch designers. The ref. 2441 was first released in 1948 and stayed in production for almost 10 years. This fresh-to-market example is accompanied by an exquisite (non-Patek Philippe) 18K gold bracelet. It was recently serviced by Patek Philippe in Geneva. Less than 200 examples were made in all case metals (yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, and platinum.) The ref. 2441 is the watch that inspired the ref. 5500 Pagoda in 1997. To learn more about the history of the Patek Philippe Pagoda please read this article.
