The original gold Nautilus is now considered an icon of the 1970s and 1980s. With its instantly recognizable, boldly designed case and bracelet, together with its black matte ribbed dial, this unique design is nothing short of wearable art. It is hard to believe that they were once quite difficult to sell when they were originally made because they were considered too oversized for the era. Today, however, this reference is appreciated and coveted around the globe and the all gold version is being recognized for its rarity and retro aesthetic. Interestingly, only 250 examples of the ref. 3700/11J Â are believed to have been made and fewer still down to have survived in such original condition. This example is accompanied by its Patek Philippe cork box, extra links and is preserved in exceptional condition.
