PATEK PHILIPPE CHRONOGRAPH POCKET WATCH, RETAILED BY SPAULDING & CO., CHICAGO
Patek Philippe 18K yellow gold open-face chronograph pocket watch, made in 1908
Watches and Accessories
This watch was originally delivered to Spaulding & Co., the important Chicago retailer. This well-preserved and recently serviced movement is a horological work of art and functions as it did when made 100 years ago. The button on top of the crown starts, stops and resets the gold chronograph hand. The 30 minute register counts the minutes as the sweeping chronograph hand is calibrated with the dial to read 5ths of a second. Its’ accuracy, functionality and aesthetic beauty all add up to make the ideal timepiece that literally captures a moment in time. The hand-engraved gold hands are especially a pleasure to view under high magnification. Even the gold chronograph hand is counterbalanced with a hand-engraved flourish that is as functional as it is beautiful.
