Watches and Accessories
Chronometro Gondolo time only watches are a staple piece for every Patek Philippe collection. However, a complicated Chronometro Gondolo takes it to the next level and here we have a 18K rose gold chronograph from the celebrated Brazilian retailer. The massive 20 lignes movement is a horological work of art and the rose gold wheel train, moustache lever and wolf’s teeth create a symphony of horological delight. Once the chronograph is engaged from pushing the crown, the sweeping chronograph hand is calibrated with the dial to read 5ths of a second. It’s accuracy, functionality and aesthetic beauty all add up. A dozen of these Gondolo chronographs are known to exist with this similar configuration and this example is stunningly preserved with a mint enamel dial, crisp case and movement preserved in equally beautiful condition.
During the late 19th and early 20th century, Chronometro Gondolo & Labouriau was Patek Philippe’s number one global client. From 1872 until 1927, Patek Philippe’s partnership with Chronometro Gondolo created some of the most beautiful pocket and wristwatches at the dawn of the modern era.
