Patek Philippe YELLOW GOLD SELF-WINDING HOBNAIL CALATRAVA, REF. 3802/200J
The ref. 3802/200J was launched in 1990 and stayed in the line until 2006. A staple of the Patek Philippe line, this watch reached iconic status alongside the manual Calatrava ref. 3919 that both shared a similar case shape and the clous-de-Paris or hobnail bezel.
This example is from the exceptionally rare first series of the ref. 3802/200 (made 1990-1992) that utilized the caliber 310 SC (center seconds) rather than the caliber 315 used in later series starting late 1992. Preserved in near mint condition, one can see the 18K on the tab of the case back. The watch was retailed by Tiffany & Co, which is beautifully identified on the dial above 6 o’clock.
