PATEK PHILIPPE YELLOW GOLD SELF-WINDING HOBNAIL CALATRAVA, REF. 3802/200J
The ref. 3802J was launched in 1983 and changed to a ref. 3802/100J in late 1986. In 1990, the ref. 3802/200J was launched and stayed in the line until 2006. A staple of the Patek Philippe line, this watch reached iconic status alongside the manual Calatrava ref. 3919 that both shared a similar case shape and the clous-de-Paris or hobnail bezel.
This example is from the exceptionally rare first series of the ref. 3802 that utilized the caliber 310 SC (center seconds) rather than the caliber 315 used in later series of 3802s starting late 1992. Preserved in excellent condition, one can see the 18K on the tab of the case back.
