PATEK PHILIPPE STEEL POCKET WATCH
A true Patek Philippe classic from the 1930s — and made in steel. The inner case back is engraved: “A token of long and faithful service 1913-1938 Spencer Kellogg and Sons Inc”. The Spencer Kellogg company was founded in 1912 and operated flaxseed crushing plants in Manila, Philippines, Hankou, China and was headquartered in Buffalo, New York. It was the largest manufacturer of soybean oil in the mid 20th century. The recipient of this watch celebrated 25 years working for the company and was presented this beautiful Patek Philippe in 1938. The exquisite dial is engraved-enameled and represents the best of dial making of the era. The movement features the PXP stamped on the balance cock indicating that this watch was originally exported to the American market through the Henri Stern Watch Agency. The icing on the cake is this watch retains its original box signed Patek Philippe and the retailer J.C Janke, Inc, Buffalo.
