PATEK PHILIPPE SQUARE SELF-WINDING REF. 3485J
Produced between 1963 and 1970, the ref. 3485 holds the distinction of being the first square watch to house the renowned self-winding Caliber 27-460. Its large, two-piece case—crafted by Ponti Gennari (keymark 26)—features its original crown adorned with the iconic Calatrava cross. Fewer than 150 examples were made in yellow gold, and to date, only 13 have resurfaced. This particular watch was presented in 1968 to Jorge Bird by the Lions Club of Geneva, adding a layer of historic and personal significance to an already rare timepiece. Jorge Bird was International President of Lions Clubs International during the 1967‑1968 term (51st president), from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.
