When the ref. 5070 was launched in 1998, production began with a yellow gold version with a black dial. In 2003, the rose gold version was launched and the yellow discontinued. The rose gold version stayed in the line until 2007 and it is believed that less than 1000 examples were made. Quickly a Patek fan favorite, the ref. 5070 remains a highly desirable, staple reference for Patek Philippe collections globally. Fine examples such as this are becoming increasingly difficult to find and prices for this important Lemania-based chronograph are on an upswing.
